Individuals, families and households of all shapes and sizes are welcome

A Message from our Minister : Martyn Coe

Welcome.

Greenwich United Church is made up from congregations which have been serving West and East Greenwich since the 18th Century. We have a long history and over the years many people have found a spiritual home in our congregations.

Although we may not be the most known church in Greenwich we do believe that what we offer is different from some other churches. Our Sunday morning 11am worship is similar in style to many other places and The Journey on Sunday evenings offers something very different. Both services are open to everyone and we are made up of a diverse group. Our hope is to welcome individuals, households and families of all shapes and sizes. You may have heard that some churches try to turn people away because of their sexuality, home circumstances or struggles with life. We try to welcome everyone who wants to be in community with us. If you would like to discuss your faith journey or life issues please get in touch.

I am available at most of our services but if you happen to miss me please leave a message at my office (020)8853 0563 or send me an e mail via the contact us page and I'll get back to you as soon as I am able.

My best wishes to you

Martyn

No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey you'll find a welcome here

Greenwich United Church is the Methodist and United Reformed Churches working together in Greenwich. We are made up of people from many places and backgrounds. Worldwide we are a part of the Churches of Christ, Congregational, Presbyterian and Methodist families of churches.

The Journey is our monthy gathering at The Forum it's different from the norm. An open and reflective time using song, words and reflection. This service has a welcome for all who wish to explore faith in a reflective way, we have quiet services, taize services and Iona style services.

We meet each Sunday morning at St Mark's for 11am worship. This is a service with a welcome for all ages, we have groups for children and members from across the world worshiping and thinking together.

Blue Christmas reconises that December contains the Longest night. At this time we offer a cahnce for quiet and meditative worship and a chance to share with God our hurting places, taking time to prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ.

There are two buildings and many projects linked with our work. St Mark's is in West Greenwich, The Forum is in East Greenwich. We are part of The Greenwich Peninsula Chaplaincy.
