Christmas is a special time. It is special because of the love of God shown to all people through Jesus. The story of the vulnerable child reminds us of the whole of Jesus life and God's concern for all people.
ADVENT is the time of preparing for Christmas when Christians remembering our need of the love of God shown in Jesus.
Our usual services at 11am in St Mark's, 22 Greenwich South St continue every week.
Parade and presents
Sunday 11th December 11am at St Mark's
We are joined by our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts for a service for people of all ages -that's the parade.
Those who are able are invited to bring either a new toy which will be passed to the Salvation Army or a cash gift which will be used to support the work of Christian Aid's partners around the world - thats the presents
Sunday 18th December
11am morning worship at St Mark's including communion and groups for Children
Joint Churches carol service
4pm at The Forum
Members and Friends of Greenwich United Church gather with Christ Church to share in a carol service. Everone is welcome to join with this service.
4pm in The Worship Space, The Forum
Christingle
Wednesday 21st December
Celebrate Christmas through building a Christingle. This is a service for people of all ages and especially suitable for children. 3pm at St Mark's
Late night informal communion
Christmas Eve 11:30pm at St Mark's
A time to welcome Jesus presence in the world through sharing bread and wine. This is a quieter servce than some midnight communion giving us time to think and reflect.
Christmas Day all ages celebrate
11am at St Mark's
A 45 minute time together celebrating Christmas young and old can sing carols and songs together. everyone is welcome.
Our buildings at The Forum and at St Mark's are accesible to people with disabilaties and those with children in buggies.
