Messy Church

For children and those who look after them

Households and families of all shapes and sizes are welcome

From September 2009 we wil begin a new venture - messy church.

Why messy? -

-because it is about enjoying ourselves and responding to the people who are taking part -not just sticking to a script if you think church is about sitting in rows and listening don't come to messy church.
-because we will be doing art and crafts and there is always some mess for us all to clear up at the end.

Why church?

-because we are church whenever we gather together to hear stories about God and to worship

When is Messy Church?

We will be starting Messy Church in September 2009. Messy Church will always be on the last Sunday afternoon of each month (except December). we meet from 4-6pm at the forum (street parking is free for 2 hours). we will meet together, do our activities, come together foor worship and then share a snack before the end.

We will meet

27th September (in the Lovell Hall, Christchurch Way)
25th October (again in the Lovell Hall)
29th November (in the church, Trafalgar Rd entrance)
DECEMBER NO MESSY CHURCH
31st January in the Church
28th February in the church
28th March
25th April

Who can come?

Everyone is welcome at messy church but to make sure everyone is safe children must bring an adult with them who will remain responsible for the child throughout messy church. Adults cannot come on their own they must bring a child with them. There will be things to do for all ages of children as well as those who have come with them.

How much does it cost?

There is not a charge but we would ask that a donation of £1for the first child and 50p for each additional child would be made. (of course if you choose to gve more that will be used to help make Messy Church even better)
